About this almanac
Northlight Almanac is a small, informal notebook devoted to the rhythms of the natural year — first frost, last light, the turning of migratory birds, and the kind of weather that only makes sense in hindsight. It began as a set of handwritten margin notes and slowly grew into these pages.
What you'll find here
Short seasonal observations, a loose almanac of moon phases, and the occasional recipe suited to whatever happens to be in season. Nothing here is urgent; everything here is meant to be read slowly, ideally with a warm drink nearby.
A note on accuracy
These are personal observations, not forecasts. Skies are unpredictable, and so, generally, is the person writing about them.
